Die Hoya HD UV-Filter sind speziell für Freilicht-Fotografie bei gutem Wetter entworfen und neutralisieren jegliche UV-Strahlung, so dass diese keinen Effekt auf die Farbbalance hat. Der Filter kann auch für Arbeiten in schwarz/weiß genutzt werden. Um das Objektiv optimal zu schützen, sollte er dauerhaft angebracht sein.
